LONDON INTERNSHIPS

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

A paid internship is a great way of finding your first steps in visual effects or animation.
We’re currently offering MATCHMOVE and LAYOUT internships at our London studio for Summer 2022 and are now accepting applications. Before you apply, make sure you read all of the information on this page.

If you want to find out more about the vital roles played by Matchmove and Layout artists in the VFX process, the Screenskills website offers some great insight. It also provides useful guidance on what skills you would need to have in order to fill these roles professionally. Whilst we’re not expecting you to have Matchmove or Layout experience, demonstration of how your existing interests and/or skills might be applied to these roles will be very helpful to your application.

Key dates:
Friday 10th June – applications close
Wednesday 22nd June – you will find out if you’re successful
Monday 4th July – Friday 12th August – internship period

Important information:

  • This opportunity is for UK based applicants only, who have the legal right to work and reside in the UK.
  • You will be required to travel to our Central London studio for at least the first two days of your internship to allow you to get a sense of the studio and the teams. Beyond that, we are open to discussion about where you will complete your internship.
  • Working hours will be 10am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Our interns will receive the National Living Wage

Preparing your application:

  • You will need to submit a showreel as part of your application – put your reel online; it’s fine to password it, but make sure it loads and that the link works. If you’re not sure, it’s a great idea to ask other people to check they can access and play it back before submitting.
  • Keep your reel short and sweet – we recommend no longer than 30-60 seconds and remember to put your best work first.
  • We ask for a 300 word statement from you. Tell us briefly what you think we need to know about you, why you would make a great intern and your future career aspirations.
  • If you contributed to a group project at uni, you’ll need to explain which parts you were involved with – honesty is always the best policy.
  • Make sure your contact details are accurate and up to date.

If you have any questions not answered above, please email us at jobs@cinesite.com, but don’t send applications to this address – they should only be submitted via this link.

Good luck!
