Cinesite at CAFÉ 2022

Cinesite Montreal will be attending the first edition of CAFÉ. Taking place on June 7th and 8th in Montreal, CAFÉ Conference is a gathering event for professionals in the field of visual effects and animation, where they can meet their community, exchange on the latest innovations and share their knowledge throughout a convivial experience. An idea of the Quebec Film and Television Council and produced by Kaliko, CAFÉ’s mission is to showcase the talent of the industry while celebrating the richness of the work of local and international actors.

Embark on a journey with Cinesite’s Chief Creative Officer, Dave Rosenbaum and VFX Supervisor, Alex Parkinson, as they explore the uncommon steps that made Cinesite Montreal’s first IP, Riverdance: The Animated Adventure, so original. From working with the Grammy-winning composer Bill Whelan to using mo-cap for references and animating deer as dancers, this is sure to be a not to miss presentation.

Later in the day, VFX CG Supervisor Gee Tatchell, will take the audience on an adventure through the Arctic. From glacial environments to a whale hunt, Gee will discuss the technical work done on the episodic series The North Water featuring Colin Farrell and Jack O’Connell.
