My role at Cinesite…

I am a Junior 3D animator

How I joined the team…

Right after graduating from Cegep du Vieux Montreal with 2 college diplomas, (2D&3D animation) I started my job hunting, thrilled to use my new knowledge on the labour market. At the beginning, when  I applied to Cinesite, I was unsure if I was going to like it, since I had a preference for cartoon animation to VFX. I got an interview few days later with the lovely Victoria Itow-Tsering. That’s when she presented the project of building a new animation department with their first full-length animation movie : Charming. I could not believe what I was hearing: An incredible chance of working on a feature film right after getting out of school! I started as a visual development artist for Charming’s props when the studio was almost empty. It was a really great experience! I enjoy to draw but I also wanted to try 3D animation. Victoria was open to this idea and gave me a place in the animation team of Charming. Ever since I animate crazy and funny characters everyday and cannot ask better!

How I learn…

Working in animation is a good way to have various challenges since we get to work on multiple shots during the production. I learn a lot by getting tips and work flow advices from very talented colleagues.    

The most valuable thing so far…

I laugh everyday!

The future…

I see myself working in a place where I still progress, have nice team mates and enjoy doing projects that bring happiness in people’s life.
